As of January 1, 2025, Electro Savings is now a part of CommunityAmerica Credit Union, the largest credit union in Missouri*. This transition combines the strengths of both organizations to better serve our community, providing even more opportunities to help every member achieve their financial goals now and in the future.

What to Expect

Our organizations share a commitment to putting members first, no matter what.

We’ll work closely together to minimize any disruptions in service and keep you informed throughout the process. Beginning January 1, 2025:

• The name of our unified credit union is CommunityAmerica Credit Union. You will begin to see the CommunityAmerica name and logo as we continue with the transition.
• There will be no immediate changes to your accounts, products, or services. A system conversion will take place later in 2025, and you will be notified well in advance of any changes.

You will begin to receive communication from CommunityAmerica Credit Union in the coming months, with additional details about the merger process and what to expect along the way.

Why is Electro merging?

Supporting our members and their financial well-being is our top priority. This opportunity to merge with CommunityAmerica Credit Union will provide an even more innovative and personalized experience to help you achieve your financial goals now and well into the future.

What will happen to my accounts and loans?

For now, none of your accounts will change. We will communicate any changes to you well in advance. And rest assured, any changes will be made with your banking experience and your financial well-being at the forefront.

Your loan terms will not change. We will communicate any changes regarding loan servicing, making payments to you well in advance.

Can I still go to an Electro branch?

Yes, all branches will remain open and available to serve you. At this time, branch hours will remain the same.

Can I go to a CommunityAmerica branch or ATM?

Initially, you will not be able to conduct your Electro Savings banking transactions in a CommunityAmerica branch. With the system integration process, all Electro branches will become CommunityAmerica branches, and you will be able to use any of the branches. We will communicate this process in advance. You can use CommunityAmerica ATMs at any time through the ATM Co-op Network.

If you would like to open CommunityAmerica products and services now, you can do so online at CommunityAmerica.com, in person at any CommunityAmerica branch, or by phone at 314.801.6400. CommunityAmerica has several cashback promotions currently running, including a $400 cashback offer when you open a new checking account (thru 12/31/24).

Can I still use digital banking?

Yes, please continue to use Electro's digital banking as you normally do. Given the merger, our planned Digital Banking upgrade has been postponed. Once our integration with CommunityAmerica is complete, you will enjoy an even more advanced digital banking experience. Additional information about this upgrade will be communicated in the coming weeks.     

What will happen to Electro Savings employees?

We’re pleased to let you know that Electro Savings employees will join the CommunityAmerica team. You’ll continue to see the same friendly faces you know (along with some new ones!) who are excited to serve you.

Do I need to do anything?

At this time, there is nothing you need to do. We will continue to communicate any updates or changes throughout this merge process, providing additional details and information to keep you informed. Please watch for those communications via email, US Mail, text messaging and here on this webpage.
